AQR http://www.aqr.org.uk AQR site with a directory of qual research agencies and planning consultancies. |
Account Planning Group http://www.apg.org.uk/ The closest thing to a trade body we've got. And host to the biennial Creative Planning Awards. |
Ads Unlimited http://www.creativeclub.co.uk/ These guys have collected UK ads back to 1997. It'll cost you to get them but agencies can become members and the search facilities look useful. |
Brand Republic http://www.brandrepublic.co.uk/ I like this site - you can get headlines off it for free. If you belong to the Marketing Society or subscribe to Marketing or Campaign or anythin else Haymarket do in the biz line then membership is free. They do daily newsletters. There's loads of content - you can search the magazine archive. And you can get TGI, Keynote reports. Very useful |
IPA Ad Effectiveness http://www.ipa.co.uk/ Advertising works - its official. Unfortunately proving it is a bit like climbing Everest. You need a major sponsor, a load of gear and about 4 months. IPA Award winners do it because its there. But very few people get the opportunity to make the trip. |
MRS http://www.mrs.org.uk Market Research Society site. Events and training but no directory. That is a trade secret you have to join to get hold of. If you are a member you can log on and search at http://www.rbg.org.uk |
Mad.co.uk http://www.mad.co.uk/ Marketing Weeks equivalent to Brand Republic available on much the same terms. I don't subscribe - I don't get freebies. So I can't really comment on it but here it is. |
Press Ads http://www.free2look.com EIntriguing site this one. It's a shopping site. But the way they know what the offers are is by collecting ads. So if you are persistent you can drill down to the ads underneath the offers. Quite useful for checking offers |
Radio Ads http://www.radio-ads.co.uk/ Every radio ad in the UK and the back catalogue isn't bad either. |
WARC http://www.warc.com/ The world advertising research centre. I'm investigating this at present. There's no such thing as a free lunch certainly not around WARC anyway. But this may change. You can search the archives without joining. A certain John Griffiths had most recent Admap article on the Account Planning index when last I looked. So it can't be all that bad!Watch this space. |
