In Trumps and Raspberries- where you see work that came up trumps or work that deserves a thoroughgoing raspberry - good and bad work for those not familiar with English idiom! And if you have a burning urge to hear the sound effects well I just needed some practice embedding sound effects. Click on the trumpet or the raspberry to enjoy the sound samples. I'll add the visual in due course when the scanner behaves. This is a New Year greeting card from one of my favourite agencies Duvall Guillaume. I know D&AD creative campaigns have done the sharpening a pencil metaphor to death but I though this was refreshing. I suspect it was retaliatory since my Christmas card to them had a quip about immaculate timing and I bet it got to Brussels after Christmas. Never mind.

I've got a great idea. To get more people coming to our events this year why don't we send them a mousemat with a calendar and a list of all the events on. Then people will only have to look down and they'll be reminded to come along. Doesn't that sound like the old broadcast model? Nonsense it's a mousemat. That makes it interactive. So there you have it. What sort of outfit puts this kind of dross out? Ooh they're called the Marketing Society. Crumbs. 2007 Another year for marketing excellence? I'll be the judge of that.
